We were pleased to play a small part in the success of this 2018 Spring Community Music Day, sponsored by Chime In! Music With a Mission.  We helped fund some of their music costs for the program. They had over 150 people in attendance with most of them singing and ringing for one another.  This event continues to grow in our area, thanks to the efforts of Rick Wood and the Chime In Board.

April 5, at Nonnewaug High School, the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra and Side by Side students performed for every student in Region 14. WOW! Fantastic opportunity for our students.  We are proud to have helped fund this concert for the last two years. Special thanks to the After School Arts Program (ASAP) for putting together such a worthwhile activity for string students!

Special recognition to the Friends of the Woodbury Senior Center. and their Sunday afternoon Concert Series.  Over 600 people attended their free concerts, funded by the WBC Music Foundation with a grant from the Thomaston Savings Bank.

The May 6th concert featured the  Haven String Quartet in an incredible performance of the highest caliber.
An additional treat of two performances from our production of COMPANY gave the audience a truly musical afternoon of Hayn, Ravel and Sondheim!

Sweetcake Mountain & Friends

What a great night!  Thanks to the band, Carole Peck’s Good News Cafe and everyone who came out for this capacity crowd event.
Those who attended got a special treat with a little teaser of what’s to come for our upcoming production of COMPANY

COMPANY, the Musical

Our major undertaking this year was be the production of Stephen Sondheim’s incredible musical, Company, directed by Kris Geddes and our own Bill Geddes.  The show featured a cast of 14, seven musicians and a production team of some 20 dedicated theatre lovers! 560 people attended these incredible performances over six days in June

The Region 14 String Program

Our proudest accomplishment has been the initiation of a string program for the Region 14 School District.  We are grateful for the cooperation we have had with our partners at the Region 14 BOE and administration!
We have also funded many opportunities in the schools from the CT Opera, Sounds of Afrika, Waterbury Symphony String Quartet, and Vocal Workshop.  Additionally we have provided over 70 $200 Mini-Grants to students.
We have also helped fund the concert series with the Friends of the Woodbury Senior Center, Woodbury’s Summer Concert Series, and Bethlehem’s Chime In!’ Community Music Day!

The Yellow Box is a reminder of where our funding comes from.  Yes, we have received grant money and large contributions, but it is our grass roots community that helps us accomplish our mission!  Please consider making a donation and sending it to:
